Summary 1 Generally, the article talks about public attitude towards science. Firstly we have to admit that our world has changed a great deal because of the advance of the science. Since nobody can prevent the science from changing the world, we can ensure that the changes are in the right directions. Thus, the public need to have a basic understandingof science and make informed decisions. As far as Hawking concerned, school education conveyed by words and diagrams, popular books and magazine articles are good ways to put across new development in science while television which reaches a truly mass audience is the
