Senior Expert in Motor Development

Division & Department: AED-ES/ENG Report to: AED-ES/ENG

Salary Grade: 9 or above Job Summary

Leading the motor development team within AED-ES/ENG department Expert in eMotor development for electro-magnetic and mechanical motor design

Job Responsibilities

Responsible for the development of new innovative motor platforms from the concept phase till series implementation. Responsible for the electro-magnetic calculation and optimization of different motor topologies Responsible for mechanical design of the motor including reliability and manufacturability Coordination of the platform development team (design, testing, process, supplier, manufacturing, quality, etc.) Series support for running products including definition as well as implementation of cost reduction measures, change management, support on quality issues, problem solving, etc. Status reporting to management including time, cost and quality of the running platform projects.

Education: Working Experience: Knowledge/Skills:

Master in electrical or mechanical engineering At least 5 years working experience in eMotor development

Basic education in economics Background of eScooter motor development preferable

Experince in electrical drive system optimization (motor and Electrical Control Unit) Professional skills in Maxwell 2D/3D software tool Professional skills in 3D design tools (like CATIA, Pro-E, etc.) Experince with problem solving tools (8D, concessions, etc.) Experience with common risk management tools (FMEA, DRBFM, Product Engineering) Professional skills in Project Management

Process Engineering skills Reliability experiences (life-time calculation, test definition, etc.)
