Emily Dickinson First time knew her One day, I went to the local library with my sister to buy some reference books. As usual, I just went straight to the book shelf marked “Education”. However, while I was heading toward my sister, I glanced at a book whose cover was a beautiful black photograph of Emily Dickinson. Just at that time, I was shocked by her elegance and delicate appearance. I didn’t have any idea about my feelings. I just wanted to know who she was. So, I picked up the book which including the introduce and poems and some details of Emily. I still remember the one, which influenced me pretty much, said that “My friend must be a bird— Because it flies! Mortal, my friend must be, Because it dies! Bards has it, like a bee! Ah, curious friend! Thou puzzlest me!” I was extraordinarily curious and confused. Because it occurred in my childhood and I was only eight. At that age, I wondered to imagine it that if my friend were a bird, what role would I play. It’s funny and I did bought the book and ask my best friend Lulu for answer. Obviously, she had the same curiosity. Just then, I started to learn about Emily. She is my hero She is so perfect in my heart. I have searched her on each item on the Internet many times, her works, her introduce, her times for produce, her emotion in the works and her “common” life. And I was so crazy about her poems that I almost quoted her poems into my compositions in my high school time. She gave me such huge courage when I was upset at my examination paper and litter nothings of life. I still remember some poems of Emily Dickinson, and while I am reading her works, I feel so fresh and sanative, such as Because I Could Not Stop for Death, I’m Nobody. Who Are You, This Is My Letter to the World, I Heard a Fly Buzz When I Died and I Died for Beauty and so on. The more her works I read, the more my admiration I grow. I love her attitude toward the works. She has her own style. She bring such feelings like clear streams floating my heart, like the remote path in the woods, like secluded orchid in the deserted valley. While I was reading her poems, I was always moved unwittingly and she’d like to lead you enter into her secret and romantic spiritual garden with subtle emotion, and she brought me to taste the dreams and pains of her whole life. Indeed, she was lonely, but she is also fascinating. Everyone is lonely and write his own book for himself. Loneness is not the torment of negative but a stunning positive energy. She confined herself indoors while there were flowers, trees and moonlight in the bottom of her heart.

She is lonely but holy. Emily didn’t acquired a good education, and she just studied for a year at a women school. She was a smart, humorous spoken and also was thought as a wild girl in her girlhood. After she lefetschool, she lived through her almost life. I have considered if she lived in the 21century, she must be a complete fojoshi. However, I also think about one question—how many people would like to contribute a majority of life time to their own business. It reminded me of How Reading Changed My Life by Anna Quindlen, in which she mentioned a lot about many people live under contemporary time put much less time into reading for one reason or another. That’s the truth. And I thought it goes same as Emily’s attitude. Long time ago, I heard a piece of news which told me that Emily had had some vague romantic feelings with few gentlemen in her whole life. I was so curious about it and wondered what kind of person can attract her attention. And I thought the last person who was an editor was her true love. What a pity! He had married before he met Emily. Their love was over before it began. She began her loneliness ever since. But the poor little woman still loved him. Frustrated in love, she was the strong lady in the bottom of her heart all the time. To our surprise, she chose to vomit her love of pain boldly. “You and I,tonight! You must forget the warmth he gave, I will forget the light. When you have done pray tell me, ThenI,my thoughts,will dim. Haste! 'lest while you're lagging I may remember hi m!” Emily could only put her hopeful love sustenance in the poems. To extricate herself, she suffered the torment of the pain of love, she wanted to "forget him" that the bright and warm he brought to her. To get rid of the pain and to forget love no results, but for her loneliness, emotional, which small hope may look unexpectedly become a luxury, as long as a slight delay and she recalled him again.We have to experience varied cases and may have some changes in our life, happy or sad. But we are still supposed to look up and head towards however weak or strong we’re. Emily is so strong deep in her heart not on the surface that she can rose to her feet again. She was lonely while she was happy because she had chased after what she hoped. Because of her leading, I found that I should try my best to experience what I never saw before. Only you experience and you can realize what you really want later. A great being is just like an extremeeducational book involves so much. And that’s why I have been admired Emily up to now.
